The utility smoke-tests sanitary sewers to find leaks, breaks and improper connections. The same weak points can let sewer gas into a house that has been empty after a loss, so refill traps in unused sinks, tubs and floor drains.

NOAA's Storm Events Database describes an EF2 tornado with maximum winds of 110 to 115 mph that touched down near the 3200 block of Klondike Road southwest of Conyers and moved east-northeast, downing thousands of trees, some onto homes, businesses and vehicles. Peak intensity came near McDaniel Road and Briarwood Circle, where two-thirds of the roof of a well-built home was torn off.
The tornado reached EF1 strength again as it crossed North Main Street, Park Circle, College Avenue, Milstead Avenue, McCalla Street and Woodland Road, then continued northeast as an EF0.
In February 1999 lightning entered the basement of a house on Reagan Circle and set a fire with extensive smoke damage. In March 2005 lightning set fire to the monastery built by Trappist monks more than six decades earlier; three wings were destroyed and the fourth was damaged beyond repair.
In March 2008 baseball-size hail fell about three miles north of Conyers. In July 2005 several trees fell on homes in Conyers, much of the damage in the Lost Valley subdivision. 24/7 water, fire & storm damage response
Conyers anchors Rockdale County and sits along the Yellow River and its tributary network — a watershed that puts portions of the residential areas near Flat Shoals Road and Georgia Highway 138 in documented FEMA flood zones. The city's established neighborhoods east of I-20 include significant 1970s and 80s construction, where original builder-grade plumbing and aging HVAC condensate lines generate frequent emergency service calls during both summer humidity peaks and winter freeze events. The Conyers area is also positioned in a severe storm corridor that tracks northeast from Alabama through Middle Georgia — bringing hail, high-wind roofing damage, and lightning-triggered electrical fires that affect the region multiple times each year. Estate Solutions provides emergency restoration response throughout Rockdale County, with IICRC-certified crews, truck-mounted extraction equipment, and direct insurance billing capability. We hold Georgia GC license #RBQA006428 and work within Rockdale County permitting requirements from mitigation through full reconstruction.
